Gynecologic Oncology and Screening

Gynecologic Oncology deals with the essential research in gynecologic cancer relating to female genitalia, reproductive system including ovaries, cervix, uterus, fallopian tubes, vagina, and vulva; training and extraordinary patient care. The American Cancer Society estimates that 1,06,00 women are diagnosed with malignant growth in the reproductive organs every year which includes cervical cancer, uterine cancer, vulvar cancer and ovarian cancer. It is important to learn about risk, prevention, and screening of these cancers which will be discussed under this session.
